That's not my experience with Galeon. It uses the default app if you 
'open' but also the possibility of using other registered 
applications, which you can choose from a list (only given if you ask 
for it). That is *perfect* with non-technical users. Hell, *I* prefer 
that too. ;)

(Who, with the likes of Firefox, must somehow know that they have 
they have to navigate to /, usr, bin and choose the right application 
from a long long list. Where the name of the application likely has 
no relation to the file they are trying to open).

I'm a technical user, but I appreciate simplicity too.

However, simplicity at the expensive of useful functionality is going 
too far. ;) I tried FC4 epiphany last night and the most obvious 
things which seem to be missing:

- open in tab by default (critical, again even non-technical users
   appreciate this feature - easier to keep track of than multiple
   windows)

- open popups in tabs (or else it makes non-sense of former feature)

Stuff like being prompted for action on cookies is missing too - 
though non-technical users won't care.
