Maybe I don't understand 'inside' ... I took it to mean in the directory
the ball was untarred into. In any case I seem to have a ghost in my
machine. 

If as root I do 'cd /opt' and then 'ls -a' I get nothing -- not
even the usual . and ..

But if I use the Find Files function in the Main Menu, set it to start
with / and tell it to find galeon, it gets a whole great long list --
including, sure enough, one called galeon.desktop -- in /opt.

So is it there, or isn't it? Can I use mv from a directory where I see
nothing? Or do I need to manage a drag&drop? Or is something really spooky
going on??
