My concept of a "session" (in the context of a browser, which is what this
discussion is baout0. Is _precisly_ what Gnome 1.2 had. I _thinK_ I can
acheive equiveklant fucntionalit in 1. but frankly how to do so is (at
best) obscured byt merrging it into the bookmarks ahndling section of the
UI.

In 1.2 (at least this is how I use it) the functionality consisted of being
able to save a collection of tabs as "sessions". Then I could recall this
set, and switch eaisly between these sessions> For example I might have a
session for the pages I need to open up the first of each day at work, and
another set for the sites I want to take a quick look at when I first fire
up my browser at home. Thes tabs alwasy come up in the same order, so this
is _extermly_ convientent.

Bookmarks to me, are a whole different concept. I maintain an extensive set
of bookmarks, and I orginize these by "category",such as aircraft,
software, hardare, etc. Ssessions may contain tabs open to pages that do,
or do not have bookmarks. 

Bookmarks typically point to pages that I might want to go to for a specifc
thing (say CPAN), sessions contain a set of things I need to day from a
"session".

Does this make sense?
