Topical is good. Also, calling things as you see them does not mean you
have to act like an ass in the process. There is nothing wrong with
voicing your opinions. You can do it without bashing everything and
everyone under the sun. You don't like Gnome; we get that. That's cool.
But what purpose does it serve to continually berate and degrade the
developers, who do work hard on a product they believe in? I'll tell you
what it serves: nothing. It does nothing more than stir up flame wars,
and lessons the degree of any intellectual conversation you participate
in; now, and in the future. I'm sure if you add a little bit of civility
to your words, they might get met with a little more openness and
understanding.
