Quote character, wrong entity

If the last character of the excerpt is the quote ("), htsearch puts
'&quot' instead of '&quot;'.
This happens only at the end of the excerpt. 

E.g.

... this is my &quot; excerpt &quot...


Other quote entities are well encoded.
