In fact this is possible only with certain options. To have ctrl-w
working as I like I have to choose allow window without tab. And with
this option the startup option does not propose speed dial. So I chose
to open opera without any page selected (no tab, no window, ...). But
clearly it's only a default choice. Not so annoying however.
