That might be disappointing to you, understandably so, but I'd like to ask you to judge this new browser on its own merits. Of course I can't force you to try something we're handing out for free: it's completely up to you whether you want to try it out, use it, or promote it. What I can tell you is why *I* choose to use Opera over Chrome on Linux (and perhaps why I returned to working for Opera this year). In order of importance to me, most important at the top: - Mouse gestures! - Speed Dial - Out-of-the-box HiDPI support - No automatic sign-in to google-everything Compared to other Chromium-based browsers that are not Chrome, for me it also has the huge advantage that it's being kept up-to-date very quickly and only lags chrome-unstable by a couple of weeks, something that no other chromium-based browser can say AFAIK. And Opera is a big contributor to Blink, developing some features and bug fixes in Opera first before upstreaming them. These might not be reasons for you to use Opera. Maybe there are other things that you'll get to like in Opera which will keep you using the browser, or maybe there are some features in Chrome that you can't live without. In any case I'd like to hear about them, and I hope it doesn't stop you from trying Opera. Best regards, Arjan On Mon, Jun 23, 2014 at 11:39 PM, J.
