This message was sent from: Development http://forums.oscommerce.com/viewtopic.php?p=206729#206729 ---------------------------------------------------------------- ok, whats the sense in starting a new side-project and not participating in the development of the real-thing? (www.nextcommerce.de) Ive been following the development of OScommerce for approx. 2-3 years now. Its a really great shopping system with many great features, but the development cycles are really slow - which mainly is due to that the core-team just consists of 3 or 4 programmers (of which harald seems to do most of the work by himself (judging by the workboard)). I've installed nextcommerce and it offers some good features that i'd also like to see included in OSC - but for some reason many essential contributions (and much programming skills) have not been integrated into the mayor releases of OsCommerce for years now. Might this be the reason? I would like to see one big (easy configurable) has-all-the-featured OSC rather than many side projects with many different unfinished features. Why not just join forces?
