Klemens-- I am not upset. I am not angry. I am relaxed, and yes I am fully aware that the software is beta. I am trying to point out, as a user, that there are some barriers to entry that are not insifnificant. I have been a software engineer for more than 17 years. I write server-side and client-side software for a living. I run my own site. But that doesn't mean that I have an X client on my desktop, or want one. Nor does that mean I want the X libs, etc on my server if they aren't needed. You are correct I could have every installed and running on both ends in about 20-30 minutes (apt-get on the server side, and cygwin on the client), but I will never need X on my box again and it is 30 minutes I would rather use to put my portfolio online. I also think it unreasonable burden. I do not expect these things to be fixed immediately, but not to acknowlege problems, or to dismiss fairly complex soulutions as trivial will not make this software better either. I think Joe has done an amazing piece of work. That being said this, the webapp hosted part, is more rough around the edges than the rest. --- In [email protected], "Klemens Dickbauer" <klemens.dickbauer@m...> wrote: > Jock, > ok, if you don't like it and are not willing to invest some time, well, > leave it.
