Category: Configuration Group: None Status: Closed Resolution: Works For Me Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Michael T. Davis (davis157) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Log IP address of requests Initial Comment: I don't see a clear mechanism for reporting the IP address of a requesting system in the log file. If this is only available when logging everything, I would request that it be broken out as a separate debug bit. To explain, I would like to see the IP address of the system using Privoxy (when Privoxy is configured to serve multiple systems) when the requesting system connects to Privoxy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: DStrickler (dstrickler) Date: 2013-09-23 15:53 Message: I'll add that while the "debug 8" does show the IP address in standard log format, the URL that's shown on the log line is missing the domain (just showing after the first "/"). This means that while I can see the IP address that's accessing Privoxy, I can't see the domain they are requesting - just the path part of the URL. Any chance a patch could show the domain name as well? If I knew C I would fix it myself! Thanks, Dave ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: David Schmidt (david__schmidt) Date: 2003-09-21 19:33 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=249980 In your config file, uncheck the debug bit 512 for "Common Log Format". This will log the request itself along with the requesting IP address. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=361118&aid=728859&group_id=11118 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ October Webinars: Code for Performance Free Intel webinars can help you accelerate application performance.
