The current released version is *way* too easy and has been defeated thousands of times on my site alone. I've built a more difficult CAPTCHA which I believe was formatted to this list at one point. I have a few more tweaks for it but I've stopped using it myself in favor of Akismet which is a bit less effective but it fully accessible to users with visible disabilities. > pyblosxom doesn't yet have a plugin that allows site owners > to moderate comments themselves, but that might eventually be another > candidate. I'd like to see something general that I could actually use in addition to the Akismet plugin. Right now, I "reject" spam comments by just tossing them out. While I have no reports of false positiives, a better idea would be able to "reject" spam into a moderation queue where it could be tossed out and/or sent back to Askimet as spam/ham. > right now, i'm leaning toward including akismet and javascript. what > do you all think? how many plugins should we include? what should the > default setup be? should we continue with the inevitable arms race > after the first release? We should. A good spam plugin is the difference between me having comments or not and blog comments are extremely important to me.
