The patch did work. I had forgotten I had left the nopasv option in the configuration file. This made the firewall block it. I assume the EPSV command is required by my ISP. Thank you for your help. Sitecopy is a great help to me. I have a web site with well over 2000 files and ftp operations regularly time out. It is the only way I can reliably update all the files. Repeating the --update command a few times eventually gets me there.
