Hi Mike, A quick Google on js-disabled browser stats shows people arguing about a percentage between 3% and 30%. The best thing would be to try to gauge the percentage of your target market and work from there. It is true that people surf with it off to allay security concerns and get rid of popups (myself, guilty as charged). But it really depends what you're making and for who. IE still offers the chance to turn JS off via the Tools > Internet Options > Security tab. Where I work, no core functionality is implemented in javascript, but we enhance it with javascript for those who have it - the key point being that even without it, everything is still functional and available. (Server side scripting languages really help facilitate this, btw). The one exception to this is a clients-only site where we clearly state the spec you need to be able to use the functionality. HTH!
