Re: UI Design/UCD at Software Conferences?

I attended UPA 2004, the Usability Professionals Association
annual conference and went to an Agile-Interaction Design
tutorial by Jeff Patton. Based largely on C&L's Usage-Centered
Design, although not specifically geared towards UI design, this
was a great tutorial in that we focused on the gathering and
analysis techniques that produce valid requirements which
account for user needs. This in turn is input to building a
coherent, cohesive, and intuitive UI and a successful user
experience. I thought it was quite good.
