I remember looking into gridster. IIRC, it unfortunately required javascript just to render the tiles and also isn't responsive. Is that still the case? It looks awesome, but I'd still like to prefer tiles in the long run, because they are so much simpler (in every way) than porlets. I am currently looking at reaching the objectives described by Guido by only using plone.tiles and plone.app.tiles, but not plone.app.blocks, because of the issue discussed here: [1]https://github.com/plone/plone.app.blocks/issues/5 It looks like blocks transform is registered for blocks browser layer, so why not just: - Leave the p.a.blocks profile unimported. - Stamp only those requests rendering pages with tiles with the blocks layer (e.g. in view __init__ so that blocks transform would only be active for those requests). Seems that you'll have a lot of fun at Sorrento :) Cheers, Asko ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Learn Graph Databases - Download FREE O'Reilly Book "Graph Databases" is the definitive new guide to graph databases and their applications.
