autoshade?

Hey

bit of an odd question this one. suppose it would help if i explained my
setup. I normally have a tabbed bunch of aterms in the bottom left of my
screen, just above the taskbar. torsmo in the bottom right, and
root-tail in the bottom right. i have alt-tab set to next tab group, and
alt-shit-tab to prev. i normally ahve firefox etc in one tab group and
gaim (if i'm not using centericq) in another.

The question is, could i set up alt-tab to shade the window, change
group, then unshade the next group, so the non-used window shades when
it's not in use? The thing is i'd also like to NOT shade the terminals
at all, leaving them always unshaded.

i don't think this is possible/easy to impliment, but this way i have
everything shaded automatically, aiding in finding the right window when
i actually use the mouse. also leaving the logs/system info easily
visible. (currently i have hotkeys for shade/maximise/iconify etc).


bit of an odd idea i know. but is it possible? or would i have to hack
the source to get this (i'm learning c++ this summer so i suppose i
could look into it)
