Basically I am creating a script which will add and populate a database of test customers.
basically I will use a user name first time through, then the next time through
add a number to the customer name.

ex: customer
ex: customer1
ex: customer2
and so on .

for some reason the number part will not add or inc.

 some details would be helpfull

 Some Examples:
 For me, this is working:
 $var = 0
 for $i = 1 to 20
  $var = $var +1
  MsgBox(0,"",$var)
 Next

 or dou you mean:
 $var = 0
 $name = "name"
 for $i = 1 to 20
  $var = $var +1
  $name_new = $name & $var
  MsgBox(0,"",$name_new)
 Next

 regards,
 stefan

 another issue !
not sure how to get the number to increment ,
it does not seem to be working.
 I should get
 Name 0 (first time through)
Name 1 (second time and so on so on )
 just not incre.

 ;add var.....
 $adname = 0
 $adlast = 0

 ;concate names
 $f_newname = ($first_name & " " & $adname )
 $l_newlast = ($last_name &" " & $adlast)

 ;================================================
 ;start here
 do

 if $Loop_cnt < 2 Then
 $first_name = $f_newname
 $last_name = $l_newlast
 $address1 = $address2
 $city = $city2
 $zip = $zip2
 EndIf

 $Loop_cnt = $Loop_cnt + 1
 $adname = $adname + 1
 $adlast = $adlast + 1

 $sFirstName = "John"

 Hope this helps.
