and the whole Ecco Family ...
My comment was just in reference to the ".dll's" and supporting
program files NetManage converted with the specific "Upgrade32" in
1997 to 32-bit versions. The did not do any changes to the
internal database engine (or icon files), not even with the last
full package release of August 1997.

The 16 bit code affects more than just the installer and
the Palm Pilot conduit.
I commented that some portions of Ecco Pro code are 16 bit
and that that is a reason why it has an "Achilles heel" (a
reference to the ~65k item limitations, vou limitations,
etc.). I think that comment is accurate.
It is in part the 16 bit code sections of Ecco Pro that
cause this limitation (also Ecco only allocates 2 bytes of
memory and disk space for items and vou).
I don't think my comment was inaccurate. Merry Christmas
