Another issue to ponder during rare moments of ignorant leisure. Why did you connect a computer with EccoPro X installed to the I-Net in the first place; convenience aside?
Ask John Podesta what he thinks of that idea.
I don't allow any of my machines porting or storing private or proprietary information to send/receive email; forget opening email attachments.
My primary email administration machine is an iPAD.
My secondary email administration machine is an old laptop with nothing else on it dedicated solely to email. It's an empty bag. If a hacker breaks in there's nothing inside it to steal.
I know that I should not be archiving any important or personal email at any public site, like @yahoo.com or @google.com, and I'm preparing to eliminate those archives. The reason has to do with basic internet security. @yahoo reported not too long ago that it suffered a massive state-sponsored security breach that involved more than one billion private accounts. Yahoo itself did not discover this crime committed against it on its own, and was only informed (presumably by the NSA) about it three years after it happened. Bet what just happened there is happening elsewhere. So, to be sensible in an age fast becoming as dangerous as ours important communications shouldn't be entrusted to corporate intermediaries like @yahoo or @google, but downloaded and archived here, deleted there.
All those steps undertaken as a policy will then allow you to unburden your computers' operating systems with suites of bloated, nearly worthless internet security apps that mistakenly zap your applications.
At a minimum you should try to read these ifosec (internet security) e-publications to stay on top of a fast deteriorating situation:
