Yes, eccopro appears to work across multiple platforms. It has run fine for me on winXP and win7, although I use it primarily as an outliner and haven’t had need for the conversion and communications features.
But the outliner, coupled with columns and folders and filters, is extraordinary. I’ve been using it for decades as a comprehensive docket and calendaring system. There are a limited number of separate view pages (maybe 28) that can be set up, but I’ve learned to live with that. I just hope ECCO continues to survive evolution of the OS.

I believe eccopro is portable. Should not require an installation. It runs fine on my winXP as well as on win10.
An alternative program is "infoqube"; It is similar to ecco, built on same principles, but requires a small fee of $50 or so.
It is still in beta. It has many many improved features, but otherwise very similar to ecco (without the limitations of memory etc) A nice feature it that it has html that can be use for each item. You can import information from eccopro into infoqube.

The serial number starts with ECCOWA... and letters are not accepted in the site's win10 zip.
If anyone would like to share a serial number that works, I'd be thankful!

I think you can copy over the entire installed folder of ecco from one machine to the other and just launch it. I don't think you need the zip file. Be sure to find your ecco.alm, ecco.cfx, ecco.ini and ecco.cfg files if they are not in your ecco program folder. they would be in your Windows folder if not in the ecco program folder. I think they can be copied into the program folder in the new machine.
I think this works with Windows 7, I am 90% sure it works with Windows 10.
In any case, it can't hurt to try.

I'm wondering if anyone else has searched for a replacement for Ecco? Two possible candidates I have found are EssentialPIM and Todist. Ecco's pop up reminders have been very useful to me. EssentialPIM has pop up alarms and Todist does not.
May be others could share their thoughts?
