If Ecco was ever successfully started, the machine must have created .cfg and .alm
 

 These used to be created in the Windows directory. With the advent of the extension, the files maybe elsewhere.
 

 Since you didn’t find copies, you probably Do not have the necessary permissions to search all folders.
