I have handled this by inserting a column "date of event" in the 
notepad. "Date of event" is under the System folder.  I click in the 
column and "todays's" date is automatically inserted by Eccopro. You can 
then change the date if you need to. You can then do  "Persistent sort" 
up or down and all the notepad entries move in tandem.

This method has worked for me and have been using it for some time now.
