No, i think there was more difficult problems here, some
incompatibilities or bad versions or whatever. The users in question
were perfectly able to change the nvidia driver to the nv one, and it
did work for them then (but no 3D, naturally).

That said, it is a shame that the debian user support mailing lists have
to respond to this, it is the duty of the nvidia support channels to
respond to these questions.

Yeah, and would probably result in direct sales of hardware for Nvidia.
That said, i think the nvidia drivers are not endianess clean, and thus
it would cost them too much to clean them up or something such.
