   It's not much bigger than Gnome or the trinkets that come with it.
Looks like the sum of Gnome's applets are bigger than the server.

  Also, just starting up Mozilla and letting it go to the mozilla page 
and sit there shows that the client side memory usage (not even counting
the pixmaps the server is storing for it) is larger than the X-server.
