Greetings,

I'm trying to install 0.92 on redhat 7.1.  When I run ./configure I get
an error that the library Xft2 does not exist. I checked and I do have
libXft.so.1, but not libXft2. Is libXft2 only packaged with later
versions of redhat? I downloaded the rpm which contains the Xft2
library from http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/5 When I attempt to
install the rpm I get the following error:

rpm --install Xft-devel-2.0-4.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
	Xft = 2.0 is needed by Xft-devel-2.0-4
	freetype-devel >= 2.1.2-5 is needed by Xft-devel-2.0-4
	fontconfig-devel >= 2.0 is needed by Xft-devel-2.0-4

I'm beginning to think my options are as follows:

1. Use an older version of WM.
2. Upgrade to a newer release of RH which will include the Xft2 library
(I assume it would be packaged with the newer version).

Is my line of thinking correct? Does anyone have an opinion on what
would be the best option to get WM up and running as quickly as
possible?

Thanks for your time.
