That fact that the number is unlisted or unknown provides at
least a little bit of information (however ambiguous it might be).

What I'm getting from this is that "personal referral" is a
strong theme for you, and can influence your trust in either
direction. Is that right?
Is the "unlisted or unknown phone number" related to that? If my
phone number shows up on your caller ID display, that's something
of a personal referral.
