It's not allopathy.
It's replacing a missing item.

Allopathy is to do with suppression by opposites.

I also use insulin, and started out with Novolog (synthetic) specifically to avoid the allergic prolems inherent for atopic peope with non-synthetic insulins.
Unfortunately ALL insulins use the same preservative, so that is still a problem.

Needles are way too easy to use to swap for other stuff in my case.
I load a new one with a day's worth of insulin, and use it as needed through the day.
