Yes, and last I heard, Amazon had run afowl of even that low discount -- by offering free shipping also. French courts ruled against Amazon, and last I heard it was defying the courts and shipping for free anyway.

While I don't like fixed price laws at all, I also don't think Amazon's defiance is good or wise -- I can't quite see it as civil disobedience.

I'm sure it will resolve one way or another eventually.
