RE: "The Elusive E-book"

Great article. 
 
A real window into what Average Joe Consumer thinks about this whole e-book thing that we get so worked up over.
 
I didn't read the replies, just the main topic threads but it seems roughly 50-50 to me. 
 
50% would never (ever?) give up a paper book, 50% either have or would be open to e-reading if the *right* device came along that was *relatively* affordable (consensus seemed to be the $200 range but certainly below $300) and e-book prices were kept at a price that didn't rival print editions.
 
That seems to be pretty optimistic to me that with the right device at the right price and quality e-books sold at a reasonable price, we'll all have a place at the table. 
 
But I'm biased :D
