I'm not an expert in these matters by any stretch, as I'm a reader and not
an author.  However, fwiw, paying *any* money for an e-book discourages me
from sharing it.  For one thing, if money is charged it's very clear that
the file is not meant to be shared freely.  For another thing, if I go to
the trouble of paying even 29 cents, why should someone else get the book
for free?  And if I like the book, I want the author to be able to make some
money from it.

I'll also say that $11 seems high for an ebook, generally.  I have no idea
what you're writing about, and perhaps $11 is a bargain for what is being
offered.  But I'm not likely to buy an ebook at that price from an author I
am not already familiar with.  I've purchased too many poorly written books,
and there is so much on my list to read already.  In the past, I've gone to
websites that sell nonfiction e-books on topics I've interested in, and I've
decided not to purchase when they cost >$5.  Perhaps you could offer a
sample of the text for free to offset the "unknown author" fact (maybe
you're already doing this--I read through the messages kinda quick).  (And
my apologies if you are a known author and I'm just ignorant.)

Using PayPal is a good move because it is familiar and it has a decent
reputation for being reliable.
