[This is useful information, but not as helpful as it might be. Any average hides the highs and lows. Instinctively one suspects that celeb and social books would do better, while non-fiction would generally do badly.

But this also raises the nature of marketing, and the overuse of the concept of instant. The use of social media falls more 'below the line' as publicity; advertising is a different thing.]
