Muslims fear a backlash against those who practice the Islamic faith 
because of the alleged sniper's religious affiliation.  Similar to that 
horrific backlash against Muslims after September 11, when Americans 
trained in the art of diversity wore hijabs and stood guard outside of 
mosques as signs of solidarity.  Silly us for thinking you'd notice how 
delightfully naïve and open-minded we are.  

Unfortunately, Americans weren't taught the difference between 
towel-headed Sikhs and freedom-hating Muslims, so even though we meant 
to take out a few of you as retribution, we sort of got confused by that 
thing on Ravi's head.  We'll get it right next time.  Promise.  But to 
make it easier, could you wear a target with a crescent in the middle?

While I'm not stealing the third world's natural resources and dignity, 
I'm researching laser eye surgery.  I'm a vain person, naturally, and as 
I grow tired of contact lenses, I can't bear the thought of glasses as 
an alternative.  How can I live if men don't make passes?  It would 
break my heart, the tender, fragile heart I hide from the world because 
I'm afraid to show any vulnerability.  Under this hardened shell is a 
woman who just wants to be loved, even if it means paying $5000 to strip 
away microscopic layers of corneal tissue.  That, and I can't legally 
kill people as an officer of the law because my eyesight is slightly 
worse than the arbitrary Snellen line drawn in the sand.

Has anyone had the surgery, and if so, are you happy that you risked a 
lifetime of bad night vision and halos to feed your vanity?  

Today's mailing is dull, and I won't blame you if you choose not to read 
all of it.  I didn't, either.  I haven't had time to search for that 
wacky news you kids love so much, and face it, you're not too swift if 
you haven't figured out where to find such articles.  Instead, I'm

levels, you don't have a clue about what is going on over there.

I find it difficult to accept that this statement embodies two such 
disparate viewpoints in the same breath. It leads me to assume that you 
fall into the same trap as many other Americans, that of trying to be 
"fair" and "even-handed" about this situation.  Given the rest of your 
body of work, this is very uncharacteristic.

"the oppressive nature of the Israeli government"?  Let's put it closer 
to home.  Imagine, if you will, that of all of the tens of thousands of 
Mexicans that infiltrate the border North every day, that 1 out of 10 of 
them were terrorists intent on killing Americans just because they were 
Americans and armed with the brainwashing that their Catholic priests 
gave in screaming sermons every week demonizing the Protestant 
Americans. 

Note that Americans are occupiers of Mexican land in California and 
Texas.  Imagine, further, that these Mexican terrorists blew themselves 
up in the bars and discos of San Diego every other day, killing 50-100 
people at one shot.  Further, the American resident Chicano population 
of Ysidro sent their sons into San Diego to do the same.  What would be 
the response of the American government?  Probably a whole lot more 
oppressive than anything that the Israelis would even consider doing.

them to call those camps home?  Your statement implies that it is the 
Israelis.  How about their Arab brothers?  The so-called "refugee" 
problem was a problem created by the Arabs themselves. Even the Arabs 
said that themselves as late as 1952 until they realized that they 
could use these "refugees" as a club against the hated Jews. They fled 
in 1948 during the War of Independence because of Arab radio broadcasts 
telling them to do so until they could come home again to take over the 
property of the destroyed Jews.  Oops, slight miscalculation.

The ones that stayed were given Israeli citizenship and have the highest 
standard of living of any of the Arabs in the world.

There is no such thing as the "Palestinian" people.  This is a 
manufactured nationalistic movement that was created in the early 60's 
as the spearhead to push the Jews into the sea.  Fact.  If there was 
such a nationalist fervor for their own land, then why wasn't it 
manifested during the time between 1948 and 1967 when Jordan had the 
West Bank and Egypt had Gaza?  Why wasn't the "struggle to form a land 
of their own" pursued during those years as well?

These so-called refugees consisted, in a large part, of immigrants from 
other parts of the Arab world flocking there during the time of the 
British Mandate because of the rosy economic situation created by the 
Jews of the region; turning the desert green, draining the swamps, 
reversing the hundreds of years of neglect of the land, etc.  Very few 
of these Arabs were indigenous to the area at that time.

Let's say that this is about the "occupation".  That is, after 5 wars of 
destruction started by the Arabs, the losers are occupied by the victors 
but now the victors have to negotiate a peace?  Ok, even accepting that, 
and the fact that "Palestine" is the West Bank and Gaza occupied after 
the 6 day war in 1967, that means that the "Palestinian" Liberation 
Organization founded by terrorist Arafat, murderer of both Israelis and 
Americans, must have been established after the start of the occupation, 
that is, 1967 or later.  Unfortunately, the PLO was founded in 1964, 
THREE YEARS before the 6 day war while Gaza and the West Bank were still 
in Arab hands.  So, what were they trying to "liberate" then?  What was 
"Palestine" then?

Try to be a little more cognizant of the facts. The rest of your website 
is extremely well documented and thought out.  Your statements about 
this issue, instead, are kneejerk reactions to propaganda without any 
data to back it up.  Every day in Israel is September 11th.

The Twin Towers themselves were invincibly constructed engineering 
masterpieces composed of tons of steel and reinforced concrete.  They 
were at one point the tallest structures on the face of the earth, and 
foreseeing potential air traffic problems- engineers designed the 
massively tall structures to withstand the impact of any aircraft- 
including that of a 757 Boeing.  Which is exactly why the Twin Towers 
remained erect for approx. 1 hour after impact.  The government released 
information on national television stating that the heat from the fires 
melted the steel beams of the twin towers and sent them crumbling to the 
ground in the uniform manner in which they fell.  Which SOUNDS GOOD, but 
is not possible.

Steel, as the majority of us are aware, is one of the most durable 
substances constructed by man.  To melt steel takes a tremendous amount 
of heat- the minimum melting temperature of steel is approx. 2,500 
degrees farenheit.  The maximum burning temperature of a tank full of 
airplane fuel is approx.1,800 degrees Fahrenheit. So how does a fire 
that cannot melt steel and burns for less than 1 hour(and the fire was 
out before the collapse thus the black soot emitting from the impact 
site) send these massively constructed buildings crumbling to the ground 
in uniformity???
It doesn't- it can't.

And note the uniform manner in which the towers fell.  First collapsing 
at the base and quickly collapsing at the middle regions, then the upper 
levels.

The twin towers were loaded with explosives along the steel beams before 
the impact of the planes and detonated with precise timing by an 
individual who knew what they were doing- in short they were demolished. 
 You can SEE this. And their is more much more

all teen mothers are bad, because a lot of them choose that life for 
themselves, and are responsible about it. No, not all of them, but a lot 
are. Probably more than you realize. I am very happy, and I cannot wait 
to bring life into this world. It will be a part of me, and a part of my 
husband. We will be great parents. I can understand you not wanting to 
have children, but don't be afraid to change your mind. If you want to

feel bad for all the people you have made fun of, and said should be 
killed. That is an awful thing to say to someone whom you don't even
