RE: saddam's capture

Asalaamu alaikum Mei,

I probably didn't express myself well.  I am aware of the atrocities 
committed under the regime of Saddam Hussein, and agree that he deserves 
punishment.
It just really annoys me that Bush spouts his lines about 'the iraqi men and 
women are free now' etc etc, when everyone knows that UN sanctions were 
responsible for the deaths of 500,000 (approx) innocent Iraqi children, that 
Bush Sr and Jr between them knocked out thousands more in their Gulf wars, 
that there are medical repercussions from the chemicals used in the first 
gulf war resulting in thousands more (mostly kids) dying from cancers, and 
now with most vital facilities bombed by the US, many more will die from 
malnutrition, water borne disease etc.
I cant stand the hypocrisy and the attitude of that govt, which I believe is 
at least as deserving as punishment as Saddam Hussein.  I feel more anger 
towards Bush, probably because he portrays himself as some sort of glorious 
Superman who epitomises good, when he is guilty of the same crimes as the 
men he brands as evil.
