perpsective being a welcome opportunity.....

sister yameen, try not to be annoyed if someone asks you why you're not
hindu if you're indian. it may seem to you to be quite an ignorant
question, but most people in most places hold a large number of
stereotypes about most people other places in the world.  we all have
work to do to lift stereotypes whenever we encounter them....


br afdhere, as for the comment "anti-semitic"... well... one way i have
found to try to work on that weird little semantic problem, when someone
says someone like "well anti-semitism is on the rise",  is to say in
response something like "oh yes it is, and is certainly is terrible! and
so many semitic people are hurt by it - so many jews and so many
arabs.... it is terrible.  and possibly its worst manifestation, the
institutionalized anti-semitism of semitic israel against the
palestinians, just tears my heart wide open!"

or something along those lines... ;)  ..depending on who was speaking
and what they said.
