salaam, of course all men or all women are not the same but there are
cultural characteristics that are  obvious in many if not most. Notice how
anywhere Americans are spotted as Americans, and seen as more loud,
aggressive, friendly, open, spoiled. Are these true of most, yes compared to
other countries. Are they true of everyone, of course not. But an Arab man
who wants to marry and America women needs to be forewarned about her
assertiveness, openness, expectations of freedom and an American woman
expecting to marry an Arab needs to be forewarned about expected
constraints, things that shock, respect and deference expected by sex etc.
There are enough of us who experience this that it cannot be denied. Eileen
