Only Chip can really answer that. However, larger publishing houses are

Don't know. As Wesleyan is an academic press, they are subject to market 
& editorial forces different from mainstream publishers.

Running Press bought out Carroll & Graf, and appears to be keeping _Dark 
Reflections_ in print.

I'm glad you found a copy at a reasonable price.
