  MA/MSC IN RUSSIAN AND EAST EUROPEAN STUDIES

We still have some places available on our successful and
internationally recognised Master's degree programmes (next
course starts October 2002). The MA programme is an ideal
platform for students thinking of going on to do research in
this field, while the MSc is tailored to the needs of those who
want to use their knowledge of this field in their job.

  The key features of our programmes are:

* intensive language training at ab initio and intermediate
levels (Russian, Polish and Ukrainian languages are offered)

* modules in Russian and East European politics and
international relations, economics, history, society and culture
offered by leading specialists

* research skills training included in the MA programme

* dissertation on specialist topic

* an optional 4-week study visit to Ul'ianovsk, Russia (in July)
