The Human Rights Centre of Ius Gentium Conimbrigae - HRC-IGC
(Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra-PORTUGAL) is proud to
present the Coimbra Law School on Human Rights.

The HRC-IGC organises several activities per year in the field of
Human Rights Education. These activities are known to be a space of
multicultural exchange and a forum for debate of ideas. This year
the HRC has the following international activity:

SUMMER COURSE ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
15th-20th of July 2002

With their eyes put on the "World Summit On Sustainable
Development", two Research Institutes of the Faculty of Law of the
University of Coimbra, Ius Gentium Conimbrigae (Human Rights Centre)
and the Centre for Urbanism, Territorial and Environmental Studies
are organising an International Summer Course on Sustainable
Development.
It is our aim to gather, as speakers, representatives of the
academic community, experts and field professionals. The public
shall be both national and international and shall include students,
the academic community as a whole, professionals, NGO's and common
citizens. It is our goal to turn this event into a preparation and a
local contribution to the World Summit. We also hope that the
outcome will contribute to a better general understanding of such an
important issue as sustainable development.
