of course! why winring-stuff should be adviced, when ECB is deactivated?? winring works out of the box without ECB! The ecb-support of winring is only needed, when ECB is *active*...

`ecb-winman-winring-enable-support' is called before the first call to any
winring-command.
And M-x 'ecb-activate'. Now C-h f, winring-set-name is advised.
'M-x ecb-deactive', winring-set-name is not advised.
winman support when ecb-deactivate will disable winman support?
I just use (add-hook 'ecb-deactivate-hook 'ecb-winman-winring-enable-support)
to fix it.
