Hi,

what is the right way to specify a catch-all coding system in Mule and
non-Mule XEmacs, supporting XEmacs 21.1 and later?

My local erc XEmacs package works quite well under XEmacs already!

This issue tries make erc-logging into files work right under XEmacs
and GNU Emacs.
