But for obj, if you aren't too picky you can work out fairly easily from
just opening an obj file in a text editor.
its like:

o someRandomObject
v 1.000 2.423 -14.443
v 45.100 5.875 2.11
v -5.644 5.654 -10.234
n 1.000 0.000 0.000
uv 0.0 1.0
uv 1.0 1.0
uv 0.0 0.0
f 1/1/1 2/2/1 3/3/1

I bet you can figure that out!!
There are a few fiddly bits to the format, some programs output strange
variations, but they are easy to figure out aswell.

I have some obj import code I can mail you that will parse and import a
simple model, but I am about to go home so I will check my mail again on
monday.

Could you point me to a page or resource where I can find information on
importing obj format models?
