It doesn't automatically send addresses. It's just a
"Hey, they're there," message.

If someone sets up a cat23-variants Yahoogroup then
I'll take the queue off my to-do list.

There's certainly the flexibility in the present
program. You could, for example, pull 4 addresses and
advertise 3 "at large" positions when you request the
confirmations.

The "Cat23 Way" would be probably be to start a
Yahoogroup. If people can't use the search features
and  message threading on Yahoo, a bulletin board
won't be an improvement.

I'm certainly not married to the idea. I've got plenty
of projects going. One less won't leave me bored. :-)
