The kind of AI you need before a robot player could enter a press game will take a while before we (the world that is :-))are on that level, but it would of course be nice if there could be more intelligence a kind of CD rule +, so the fact that people don't send in move wouldn't have the impact on the game it now has. I'm looking forward to see who has the spare time and skills to accomplish even a 'very easy beatable' robot player :-). I believe some attempts have already been made. http://www.diplomacy-archive.com/resources/software/Dip-AI.htm http://www.strategy-gaming.com/previews/diplomacy/index.shtml But this is really the place you should turn to: http://www.starblood.org/daide/ Thomas de Klerk > -----Original Message----- > From: Thor Hovden [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Sunday, August 08, 2004 2:28 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [dpj-games] Robot dip player > > I got started thinking about the kind and amounts of information which > dpjudge programs need.
