I suppose all this depends upon whether the soloist's ally throws the solo.

  Good question. Of course, soloists from round 2 will argue that very point, whilst others will argue that a soloist cannot be an alliance player by the very nature of the fact that he/she ruthlessly soloed in round 2 (or at least one in rounds 1 and 2). .

      I'm not convinced that all players in the third round, will have a passing aquaintance with solos themselves. There is probably just as many allinace players as ruthless go-getters, which will make the semis very exciting.
