I have had some moderate success building 3 arcsec scenery for the UK over the last couple of days. It's certainly lumpier, and gives a better feel for flight at moderate altitudes than the 30 arcsec. I have a couple of questions, though, please, both related to terrain texturing. Firstly, the terrain is largely textured with MixedCrop.rgb, which is fine for the prairies, but doesn't look much like Gloucestershire! If I create a UKMixedCrop.rgb, I suppose that I can add it to materials.xml, but I am not clear how I tell the scenery generator that I want to use a particular texture. A couple of pointers to how it is done would be much appreciated. Secondly, I would like to see how much terrain use variation there is in vmap0 v0eur data, but the viewer that is mentioned in the readme file does not seem to be available, and the NGIA only offers EDGE Viewer (R) to registered customers: http://tinyurl.com/2egmr [www.nga.mil] Does anyone know of a view for VMAP0 data that is freely available? Thanks for any help you can give Jonathan
