But Aragorn was called Dunedain, "Man of the west".  Since the blood
of the Gondorians (and any reminent Arnorians) was from Numenor, in
the west... Its not a far leap.  If we could agree they were Edain,
then they were also Dunedain.

Yes, this is a problem.  Have you actually played a game of Freeciv
with an experienced player?  This list is still MUCH too short.  So you
can see the dilemma.  Its more of a "theme" as you have pointed out.
Feeling evil yet? :)

This same problem applies to the Dunedain, so you see many city names
are Numenorean, some from Gondor, some from Arnor etc.
