Of the winners, I only voted for Quacks.  My gaming has taken a huge nosedive since I split with my partner of 8 years last august (combined with some other personal issues).  I've played Birmingham but the artwork is awful and the gameplay is similar enough to Lancaster that I didn't feel like voting for a "revised edition".  As for TEOTIHUACAN, I'm adding it to my list of games to try.  Unfortunately, since my heavy gaming opportunities are so limited, I probably will not be picking up a copy..  New Frontiers is the only one that got a fair number of votes that I haven't tried yet and want to try.  Lehmann's games are always interesting to try whether or not they end up working for me or not.

First of all, thank you, Larry, for maintaining the fun and the binding us gamers together with these awards.
I did not vote for any of the winners (becoming a trend) and I'm starting to wonder if it's too difficult to play a sufficient number of the nominees now.  I know I can't get to half of them.  A discussion on reprints may also be warranted.  I consciously did not push any reprints or expansions.  Obviously, others don't agree.  I really like Brass, but I refused to vote for Birmingham.  Same with Concordia.  I think there were a lot of games I excluded this way.  I hope I don't sound bitter because I'm not and I enjoy being surprised.  But my concerns are starting to become more pronounced each year.

No, I don't mind at all.  Discussion of the results is always welcome.  I'd love to hear what people think of the awards this year!
