Unfortunately, that's beyond the technological capabilities of many
people....  if there was a really easy, and relatively cheap, way to
do this, I'd recommend it without hesitation.

Some universities offer their alumni "email forwarding for life".
That's a solution that would work for some.  Unfortunately, not for
the less technically savvy.
