AFAIK, and i'm new here - it pertains to time-shifting, i.e., remotely 
recording radio or tv while out for later viewing/listening. Tivos and 
video really. There are limited restrictions on shifting iPod downloads 
to three computers or devices but of course everyone has found the way 
around it - given that its lo-fi 16bit/44,1khz, burn it to CD and rip 
it. Apple's downfall was that they allowed CD burning. Still... they 
rake it in... I believe, because they allowed in a little more freedom 
than anyone else. That, and they had the formidable Ted Cohen of EMI 
pushing their promotions.... (don't knock him btw he's a colleague/mate 
of mine and slightly more open-minded than we'd think)
