[ACPI-sppt] [ANNOUNCE] wmacpi-ng 0.90 release.

I'd like to announce the latest release of wmacpi-ng, a Window Maker
dockapp to monitor battery status on ACPI based systems. It started
out as a hacked up version of Tim Copperfield's wmacpi, to add
support for more recent kernel ACPI interface versions, but it's
grown into a complete rewrite, adding support for multiple
batteries, a command line tool to query battery status, and various
improvements in handling strange and stupid values reported by the
kernel.

Any feedback, flames, bug reports, patches, or suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.

On another note, since the original wmacpi appears to have been
abandoned, it's been suggested to me that I change wmacpi-ng 1.0 to
wmacpi 2.0, and take over the maintainership. I've attempted to
contact Tim Copperfield, without any success so far, so I'd like to
canvass opinion on this question . . . As it stands, wmacpi-1.34 is
well over a year old, during which time the interfaces it relies on
have changed to the point that it doesn't work with current 2.5
kernels, and definitely won't work with current 2.4 kernels when
2.4.22 is released. So, wmacpi needs an active maintainer to be of
continuing use, and it seems that the current maintainer isn't doing
this.

So, if anyone would like to comment on this, or point me at a more
appropriate list/group to look for feedback on, I'd be very
grateful.
